buzzer - Tim Hofmeister


Buzzzer - overhandplanner- jointer, mostly clled the buzzer in the boat building workshop but the officail nome for the buzer is the overhndplnner.

the buzzer is used for dressing a face of timber. the dressing mount can be justed by milimeters to be more presice.

this is a diagram of how the blde rotates and dresses the timber. the buzzer is primarly used for flattening out bowed or cupped wood, flattening out an angle on the timber edge and smothening of timber edge.

this machine needs to be used with care. the spinning blade is moving very quickly and could injure someone if the approprite care is not taken. you must have any loose clothing or jewrey taken back or off, you will need saftey glasses incase of any debrie flying about. you will need er protection due to the motors noise which could damage your hearing and also good footwear incase something were to fall on your feet. there is a fence on the machine to guide the wood paralell and also so that the wood has somewere to lean on so you done cut your fingers off. there should be someone incharge of the machine pushing the wood through with a good body stance and posture. if the wood is of a longer nature, there needs to be a preson reciving the wood on the oppostite side, this prosn does not pull the wood, thats up to the person incharge, but just recives it.
